DOMASZKÓW – TARCHALICE – RECOVERY OF NATURAL WATER RETENTION OF THE ODER RIVER VALLEY FOR FLOOD PROTECTION, WOŁÓW MUNICIPALITY, WOŁÓW DISTRICT, LOWER SILESIAN VOIVODESHIP
In Wołów (Lower Silesian voivodeship) the project consisting in recovery of natural water retention of the Oder river valley is being implemented. ETP S.A. carries out the project on behalf of the Lower Silesian Board of Land Amelioration and Water Facilities in Wrocław.
This project is critical for the Natura 2000 "Łęgi Odrzańskie" area and to improve the safety of residents of Domaszków and Tarchalice.
RECLAMATION OF THE CZCHÓW – ROŻNÓW WATER RESERVOIR IN TĘGOBORZE AND WYTRZYSZCZKA, STAGE III
Under the "Reclamation of the Czchów-Rożnów Water Reservoir" project ETP implemented hydro engineering works consisting of deepening and desludging of the Czchowskie Lake bottom. The reclamation stopped the ongoing environmental degradation of the lake, and its bacteriological contamination which exceeded the concentration limits due to siltation of bank zones.
Realisation of the project significantly raised flood protection level and tourist attractiveness of the region, which directly affected the increase of landscape values.
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MALCZYCE BARRAGE ON THE ODER RIVER
ETP is constructing the Malczyce Barrage for the Regional Water Management Board in Wrocław. This project aims at restoring the original level of groundwater, stopping erosion processes in the riverbed and renewing the shipping route. Brzeg Dolny Barrage will be protected against scouring and loss of stability. Valuable alluvial forests, so far threatened due to drying out of soil, will be protected too.
